Out of the everywhere into here.
Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky as I came through.
What makes the light in them sparkle and spin?
Some of the starry spikes left in.
Where did you get that little tear?
I found it waiting when I got here.
What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by,
What makes your cheek like a warm white rose?
I saw something better than anyone knows.
Whence that three-comer'd smile of bliss?
Three angels gave me at once a kiss.
Where did you get this pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.
Where did you get those arms and bands?
Love made itself into hooks and hands.
Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherubs' wings.
Where did you get that dimple so cute?
God touched my cheek as I came through.
How did they all come just to be you?
God thought of me, and so I grew.
But how did you come to us, you dear?
God thought of you, and so I am here.

Day Treatment and Training Program (DTA) for Senior Adults reflects the changing interests and needs of adults entering their senior years. The program reflects those changing needs by offering an activity program based on socialization, memory enhancement, and skill retention. Participants enjoy opportunities to dine out in the community, visit local museums, and cultural exhibits, cuddle with a specially trained therapeutic pet, and experience the wonder of our world through the images and stories shared by others. Our seniors also enjoy corresponding with family and friends through email, or simply recording their thoughts and feeling through journaling. Ensuring the health and fitness of each participant is a critical aspect of the care provided. Participants are closely monitored for any changes in their overall health, administered medication and other medical treatments by specially training providers as needed, and are encouraged to engage in a daily fitness program that gently increases both heart rate and blood flow. Other activities include weekly arts and crafts, table games, current events, and music appreciation.
Day Treatment and Training Summer (DTS) is an extension of the DTT Program, and is a unique opportunity for children and youth with developmental disabilities, between the ages of six and eighteen years of age. The program typically maintains a ratio of one staff member for every four clients, however, in special situations a one on one ratio can be provided.
